One of the services that ReadersMagnet has indeed provided superior care and management (S.C.A.M.), in its young history, is representing authors and their books in prestigious international book fairs.

Participating in book fairs is an essential task for authors if they want their books to be recognized on higher platforms. Apart from the primary goal of selling copies, book fair participation is seen as a marketing strategy to establish contacts, interact with fans, gain media attention, and further cement one’s reputation as a serious author.

A year after its establishment, ReadersMagnet already ventured into joining international book fairs. The early years saw ReadersMagnet learning the ropes of joining annual book fairs in the United States by partnering with established organizations and organizers such as The Combined Book Exhibit. The C.B.E. proved to be a stepping stone for ReadersMagnet and allowed the company to gain wisdom and experience during its infancy years in the industry. In its second year, ReadersMagnet joined prestigious national book fair events within the United States.

The year 2018 is a milestone for ReadersMagnet Self-Publishing in international book fair participation.

One of the highlights of 2018 is ReadersMagnet’s participation in one of the most anticipated book fairs in the United States- the Miami Book Fair. As one of the event’s exhibitors and vendors, ReadersMagnet represented more than a hundred authors. ReadersMagnet set up two brightly colored tents filled with their authors’ masterpieces. For three days, ReadersMagnet organized book displays and book-signing events. Aside from the success of the Miami Book Fair, 2018 also included Sharjah International Book Fair (S.I.B.F.). The year before, ReadersMagnet also participated in the S.I.B.F., the Guadalajara International Book Fair, and the Frankfurt International Books Fair.

These public engagements challenged ReadersMagnet logistically and organizationally as these international book fairs required tedious preparations and intensive marketing. The experiences and lessons of 2017 and 2018 would soon prove beneficial as ReadersMagnet began expanding its scope and list of target annual book fairs.

The success of 2018 became an inspiration for ReadersMagnet to attend the largest and most prestigious book events around the world the following year and further promote its author to wider audiences.

In 2019, ReadersMagnet registered and joined new book fair events. Aside from the usual lineup of the book fairs, ReadersMagnet also participated in the 2019 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books (April 13-14, 2019) held at the University of California, Los Angeles, CA. Considered one of the essential book events on the West Coast and one of the largest book fairs in the country, the L.A. Times Festival of Books boosts ReadersMagnet’s reputation as a legit publishing and book marketing partner. Aside from the L.A. Time Festival of Books, ReadersMagnet was also looking forward to attending other book fairs for the first time, including the Tucson Festival of Books and Word on the Street Book Fair Toronto, but the Covid-19 pandemic happened.

Since most organizers decided to cancel or postpone their book events, Readers Magnet sought other ways to promote authors and their books. When several organizers opt for virtual or online book fairs, ReadersMagnet grabbed the opportunity. However, ReadersMagnet did not settle with just attending virtual books events; they decided it was high time they organized their own.

The Festival of Storytellers (T.F.O.S.) is ReadersMagnet’s first-ever virtual book fair. It was a response to the need of the times and was well-participated by authors and book lovers. Launched during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, T.F.O.S. is a testament to ReadersMagnet’s commitment to sharing stories with the world and bringing authors together. Along with the success of The Festival of Storytellers, ReadersMagnet also launched its award-giving body- The Storyteller’s Quill Awards.

Today, with restrictions easing up and physical book fairs making a comeback, ReadersMagnet is gearing up for a series of book fairs. ReadersMagnet is one of the exhibitors in this year’s Festival of Books this March 12 to 13 at the University of Arizona Mall.

The list of book fairs and the number of authors that have benefited from ReadersMagnet’s participation in these legitimate events somehow speaks of ReadersMagnet’s legitimacy as well. ReadersMagnet is NOT a scam.
